My lesson materials are different from conventional text books for three reasons:
(1) they focus on combined skills rather than individual skllls of reading, writing, speaking, and grammar.
(2) they infuse content from academic disciplines/themes such as psychology, business, and health care (created through collaborations with faculty who teach in those disciplines).
(3) they emphasize project-based assessment and critical thinking.
